Master Derosière - 3rd Dan & French Representative
Mathieu Derosière is the chief instructor and the founder of the French Association of Mansuria Kung-Fu. He is recognized by the Grand Master R. Sheckhar living in India as the only representative in France of Mansuria Kung-Fu International. He is also responsible for the creation of the Federation of Mansuria Kung-Fu in France.
The "Association Française de Kung-Fu Mandchou"
Master Derosière created the French Association of Mansuria Kung-Fu in 2003. Through his commitment and determination to develop this Kung-Fu in France, the association has 5 years after its creation more than 350 students and 4 instructors, practising in clubs located in the Somme, the Pas-de-Calais, the Seine-Maritime, the Loire and other french areas. During this period, Master Derosière taught black belts students, 1st and 2nd Dan in Mansuria Kung-Fu and at a Federal level (FFwaemc). Through his teaching, several of his students were champions of Picardy, Seine-Maritime, Nord-Pas-de-Calais and even champions of France (two consecutive years) and a vice-champion of France in the technical categories and fighting shaolin traditional style.
Master Derosière and India
Practicing Mansuria Kung-Fu in France with a French teacher, Master Derosière quickly felt the need to go further and learn this art directly to the source, with the Grand Master of the discipline : R. Shekhar (9th dan). So Master Derosière moved to India several times, and was there for several months. He benefited from the teaching of Grand Master, and little by little started building with him relationships based on trust and respect. Master Derosière after training very hard got the recognition of the Grand Master, who decided to recognize him as the only representative of the Mansuria Kung-Fu International in France.
All this experience enabled Master Derosière to develop his art and the Grand Master wanted to organize national competitions of Kung-fu in the Temple in order to apply the knowledge acquired. Master Derosière was the first for 10 participants regarding 10 techniques (monkey, tiger, eagle, big stick, sword etc) at a national competition on February the 25th, 2006 and was also the first for 3 techniques (snake, monkey, eagle) judged on the behaviour and the mimicry of those animals during the martial arts tournament on February the 24th, 2008 at the International Mansuria Kung Fu Temple.
Master Derosière keep on practising in India and at the same time teach now what he learned to the clubs of the AFKFM, especially in training some instructors.
The Federation of Mansuria Kung-Fu
Until 2009, the A.F.K.F.M. was affiliated to the FF Wushu aemc. This affiliation had some problems, since the specificity of the Mansuria Kung-Fu was not taken into account at a federal level, especially during competitions.
For consistency, and in order to provide a better framework for the expression of the Mansuria Kung-Fu practitioners Master Dérosière decided to create his own Federation involving all the clubs of Mansuria Kung-Fu existing. The Federation aims to develop practical Mansuria Kung-Fu: it organizes competitions, supervises the training of instructors and referees.
